River Trips

General Club Information

River trips tend to take place during the Winter months.  However as with every other canoeing activity the trips are dictated by the weather - there must be sufficient rain. Anyone  wishing to experience the rapids of the local rivers should have normally completed a season in the swimming pool, and attended the summer evening sessions. You should be of at least two star standard.
The trips tend to concentrate on the Rivers Thurso; Helmsdale,  Brora and Carron.
This time of year is cold so you must wear warm clothing and have plenty to eat and drink.
