Membership
The membership year runs from 1 January to 31 December. If you join for the first time at the pool sessions (which start in the Autumn) you will be given membership for the following year.
What is the membership fee used for?
The membership fees cover affiliation to the Scottish Canoe Association and contributes to the running of the club and the purchase and maintenance of club equipment. The annual subscription to the club covers the running costs which are:
Paddle Scotland membership which includes Third Party Insurance.
Caithness Sports Council membership
Club Store insurance and maintenance
Trailer maintenance
Access to a club house
Membership to the Club is open to anybody over the age of 14 years (for outdoor sessions) or 12 years (winter pool sessions) and who can swim. The membership categories are:
- Adult Membership*: Open to those individuals aged 18 years old and over.
- Young Person Membership*: Under 18 years of age and under
- Concession Membership*: Open to those aged 65 and over (not in employment); those in full time education; those in receipt of state benefit
- Family Membership*: to one or more individuals from the same family. This is limited to 2 adults and children under 18.
- Associate Membership: Those not living in the KW1 - KW8 and the KW11 - KW14 postcode areas.
